Visiting l'Ile de France

Nature lovers Culture lovers Entertainment lovers

For lovers of leisure

If travelling as a family, theme parks are an attraction that both adults and children will appreciate. Paris has two very important parks: Eurodisney and Parc Astérix.

If Paris is the aim of your visit, this is a trip that your children will appreciate. And if the opposite is true; if the aim of your visit is one of these parks (and you can benefit, depending on the time of the year, from interesting travel + accommodation tourist packages), then try to include a trip to Paris!!!

Disneyland Paris

Eurodisneyland is situated in the Val de Marne, close to Paris (32 Km).

It is an enormous theme park which features the great classics of Walt Disney. You can spend a weekend in the huge park and spend the night in one of its 7 hotels. This world of leisure is made for everyone, and for all ages.

Eurodisneyland is made up of 7 villages, each with their own identity. For example, if you like cowboys and adventures, the Adventureland village is right for you.

Your day will be both entertaining and attractive, and in the evening you can attend the magical parade or one of the concerts.

To get to Eurodisneyland from Paris, you can go by car or by public transport:

By car: motorway A4 (direction Metz - Nancy), then junction 14 to Val d'Europe/Parc Disneyland.

RER line A : Marne la Vallée/Chessy station (35 minutes from Paris).

TGV: on North Europe, South East, West and South West lines.

Finally, note that there is a shuttle service from the two airports of Paris to the Disney Land hotels (reserve in advance).

Information reservations:

From 05/04 au 02/11: adult / 1 day 39 euros. Children / 1 day 29 euros
From 03/11, please phone for prices.
For children under the age of 3, entrance to the park is free.

Parc Astérix

If you are fond of theme parks, you can also enjoy a typically French park, Parc Astérix.

Inspired by the famous Astérix and Obélix comic strip which presents the life of the Gauls. You can spend a day in the past and discover the ways of life of this forgotten era.

You can visit its 28 attractions, meet the Gauls, and attend dolphin shows.

If you are hungry after so much emotion, you will find 6 restaurants, and numerous places for snacks. You can also take a picnic.

As with Eurodisneyland, you can extend your stay and sleep in the hotels bordering the park.

by car: 30km to the north of Paris. Take the motorway A1 (direction Lille), then the direct junction to Parc Astérix between junction nos. 7 and 8.
by plane or TGV: from Roissy Charles De Gaulle 2 airport, you take a free shuttle to Roissy Charles de Gaulle 1. Then, you take the CIF bus which leaves the Roissy coach station and takes you to Parc Astérix. There is a departure every 30 minutes from 9h30-14h00 and a return every 30 minutes from 16h00 until the Park closes.
